Easier template editing with It’s All Text extension for Mozilla Firefox
If you’re used to editing your Expression Engine templates in the textareas, you’ll appreciate It’s All Text. It’s a simple add-on for Mozilla Firefox which lets you edit the content of any textarea in the text editor of your choice. You can configure It’s All Text to use Dreamweaver, Aptana, e-text editor or TextMate, bypassing the limitations of Expression Engine’s editing textareas.
It’s All Text will then provide you with a little edit button for all textareas in your browser. Right click the button, and choose how you want to edit your text. You may want to edit as php. You can change these settings in It’s All Text‘s preference settings.
Once you’re done editing in your text editor of choice, just save the file and go back to the browser. You’ll see a yellow flash confirming your edits have carried in to the textarea. Save the Expression Engine template as usual.
